“The old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born; now is the time of great fucking parties”
-Antonio Ravesci
A new year, brings along with it a new world. Just as Impact! was first born in the crucible of Newcores Eve, reformed and relaunched through Newcores ’24, now Newcores ’25 comes along at a time of great uncertainty for the future. For our team, and core audience, which is entirely composed of trans and queer people, it’s hard to think that there’s much to look forward to in the year ahead. New Years has always been for me, since I was a child, the greatest holiday of the year. But now, it has to feel hollow, empty. Because isn’t there nothing to look forward to?
No.
We are here to say in the loudest, most obnoxious, and ridiculous way possible, we aren’t giving up. We’re putting our middle fingers up so high that they hit the lights above us, and pointing them in the general direction of all that bullshit. The future is coming, and we’ll be ready for it. We’re gonna do more, bigger, and better things than ever before, because that’s what we deserve. And we’re not gonna let whatever the world throws at us get in the way of that.
So come on down, join Impact! and all your friends, freaks, furries, faggots, fuckboys, you name it, for our biggest rave yet. Featuring our favorite artists of this year, a new venue with room for 700 (!) people, aerialists, go-go dancers, contests and prizes, decoration, midnight toasts, and sneak peeks at the year ahead. It’s gonna be an absolutely unmissable night @ Q Nightclub for Newcores ’25.
And to spend the night providing us with amazing music, we have the following incredibly good and important to us artists to help us dance the night away
-As is tradition (if you do anything more than twice, it’s tradition) returning DJ FLAPJACK carrying the torch with us once more into the New Year.We wouldn’t have taken off as hard as we did without him being there right at the start, and hopefully he’ll be with us till the end with incredible vinyl Happy Hardcore sets.
-One of the people who has brought the most incredible talent to us, on top of being an incredible artist himself, LIL KEVO 303. It’s been a reoccurring joy to host him, the rest of 909 Worldwide when they’ve passed through town, and everyone else he’s brought our way, so it’s only fitting here’s up here tonight.
-Straight outta Orlando, DJ and Producer RUSSELBUCK, who, on top of being one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, has represented our continual commitment to only having the best furry bangers at our shows and the kind of sound that we’re pushing into the future :3
–M5007, who headlined our first Technocore show, and has been a returning headliner for several since. Without how good ze’s blending of hard, dark, industrial techno is (I single-handedly credit zir for me learning to enjoy techno) we wouldn’t have gotten up to 7 such shows, unlocking a completely new area for our audience, and inviting in a completely new audience into our family.
-Seattle’s own ADORA BLUE. Her contributions to the rave community, and the trans/queer community in Seattle are too numerous to list, but I can’t think of anyone else who’s made more of an impact (lol) in both of those fields simultaneously. One of the first raves I went to in Seattle was one that she threw (anyone remember She-Rave?) and I don’t think I really have to explain more than that. Get ready for a solid hour of the silliest hardcore, eurobeat, what have you remixes you’ll ever hear.
As with last year, we have the Impact! contingent. And while last year me and Aliceofsin took the stage as we had shepherded this organization along it’s first baby steps into being a real rave group, there are two people who have been much more responsible than me or her or anyone else in the evolution of Impact! since.
–BVD GRRL has been behind all our incredible technical achievements at the club and outside of it. Every time you get blinded by some strobes at Krem, buy a ticket, get an email from us, see a giant LED pentagram, watch one of our live streams or youtube reuploads, or order merch on the shop, it’s all her responsibility. Without her incredible commitment and skill we’d be so much less of an organization without the ability to nearly as much as we do to make our shows special. So, for her birthday (yes, it’s really on the 31st) dance your heart out to her incredible Hardcore, Hardstyle, Hard Techno, or all of the above sets
–SOGGY DOGGY has been behind a half of our artistic evolution into having a more consistent style and expression, and has done some of our most memorable flyers, ranging from her first for Howl At The Moon to the one for Newcores ’24, to contributing in part to the art in this one. She’s also designed merch and most importantly, our mascot/sona who graces this flyer, our logo, and soon, much much more :3 She’s gonna burn it down for y’all with some amazing gabber and hardcore to open.
This list of artists wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the other half of our artistic evolution, and the other half of the design of this flyer; Jill. One of the best things about the Impact! team is I have managed to find people who have very similar desires and vision, making it incredibly easy to work with them because all I have to do is tell them what we need, and I know it’ll be executed in a way that I love without me ever having to worry about it. And nobody exemplifies this more than Jill. From her first design for Dream Pool to her most recent work on with Datamosh, her designs always manage to dig themselves into my brain and be instantly memorable and stand out in a sea of incredible art. And don’t forget the merch. We wouldn’t have anywhere near as good art and promotion without her incredible talent.
After that wall of text, all I have to say is this. I, truly more than ever, can’t wait to see y’all on the floor for Newcores ’25 <3
