Forget Miami, everyone’s heading to what literally nobody ever has called the “Miami of the PNW” for SPRING BREAKCORE! Organized with the help of Fukdup Records, 909 Worldwide, Reactionary, Spinkick, and with sound, lights, and the warehouse generously provided by Kelcema Audio, we’re bringing back the spirit of Interbayhemoth. International headliners, a new warehouse(!) location, massive sound and lights, don’t miss out on what will be the breakcore event of the year in Seattle. And speaking of headliners…

PENCIL (JAPAN) Do you know footcore? Internet music DJs speak of it in hushed tones; breakcore and footwork mashed together like a child making their two favorite dolls kiss. The energy and chaos of breakcore with the intricacy and attention to rhythm of footwork, it turns out, fucking rocks– and Pencil was its torch bearer. Pencil’s no one trick pony, though; browse his soundcloud for like two seconds and you’ll find dariacore, tekno, Autechre remixes, or minimal dnb as per his Immateriality EP (big ups). Pencil has a knack for variety– in samples, in genre, in beats, in mood, in energy– and we can’t wait to show you what he’s got; DJs like these aren’t this side of the Ring of Fire all that often.

FRUMS (SEA) has been on the radar of the Japanese internet electronic scene for nearly ten years now, a decade of commitment– nay, fealty– to challenging the norms of rhythm game music. Frums is very easy to define in negation as a result, but there is a core; rhythmic complexity, a geometric veneer, a love of chiptune and trackers, an all-encompassing sentimentality. And, perhaps most importantly, it is One Of Us. It has the honor of showing us its vulnerability via live, in-person performance for the first time in its decade-long career, and we can’t imagine a better show for it to debut at.

OTHERMOON (JAPAN), our other man from Japan! Othermoon might not be as familiar of a name as Pencil, but he is just as wild to see; his greatest bona fides are behind the scenes as the owner of the netlabel Otherman Records, the staple for ravey, erratic, and mashy breakcore with a real who’s who lineup of the scene circa early and mid 2010s, featuring DJ favorite artists like Captain Raveman, Wan Bushi and DJ Kurara (among so many others, and so many different styles, jeez! If I were you I’d check out umio but you aren’t me I don’t think). Othermoon’s mixes mirror his label, a real throw everything on the thumb drive and make it wickid kind of DJ. Labelrunners do it different for real.

LIL KEVO 303 (BOS) returns to Seattle for a show that promises to almost be as massive as the last one he killed at :3 Armed with new tracks, the legendary hardcore/breakcore master of 909 Worldwide will be keeping it 💯💯 (that’s 200, cause 200BPM xd) for us

JIMNI CRICKET (SEA), our hometown hero, will be burning it down like she has since the 2000’s. Her unique quick mixing cheesy Happy Hardcore and DnB style mixed with her scratching mastery creates a experience that will leave your feet on the floor the whole night. She also has a regular show on c89.5, Seattle (and the worlds!) longest running EDM radio station.

DEEJAY CHAINWALLET (NYC) is… wait a minute, NYC? Yes, one of the reasons our former perennial live hardware maestro has not been as perennial lately is her move across the country. But she is returning to the PNW for Spring Breakcore, and we’re so happy to have her back! Her unique blend of acid, breakbeats and breakcore, hardcore and techno have been a personal favorite of mine, so I can’t wait to see what she’s bringing this time

MRA9E (OLY) is pronounced like Mirage, and represents the Olympia scene for this breakcore bonanza. Her dynamic sets draw from all kinds of genres, fusing together a wide range of sounds depending on the crowd, but with this set pushing her into harder styles. Expect jungle, breakbeat, hard trance, and more, but be ready for anything.

Can’t wait to see y’all on the floor for Spring Breakcore!
