We review every submission individually. Put your best foot forward and send us one track you REALLY want us to hear.
Multiple submissions are allowed, however, any additional tracks are subject to the (limited) availability of our team.
We’re looking for well-produced, original work by folks in our community (trans/queer/puppygirl/partyboi etc etc).
Remixes of other’s work is not allowed for Here Comes Trouble (Vol. 1), and any overt sampling of other media may disqualify your entry.
Please read the guidelines below before submitting.
Who Should Submit
- Any genre is eligible, though we do have an affinity for EDM related tracks.
- Examples of genres we’re interested in are DIY, bedroom, noise, DnB, electronic, Jungle, punk, pop, club, gabber, happy hardcore, hip-hop, trap, RnB, and hybrid projects. Typically, something dance-y and with intention. However, all are encouraged to apply, and there are no genre limitations.
- Artists from marginalized communities.
- New or established artists.
- You do not need a large following or professional credits to submit.
What You Can Submit
- Original music only.
- Multiple tracks may be submitted.
- First track is guaranteed reviewal (unless a call specifies otherwise).
- There is no time limit for submissions.
- WAV files preferred (high‑quality MP3 accepted if needed).
- We accept both released and unreleased tracks.
- We require the ISRC for any selected track that is already on streaming.
AI Policy
- We do not accept submissions that use generative AI in any part of the music or vocals.
- By submitting, you confirm that no AI was used in the creation of the track.
Rights & Ownership
- You retain full ownership of your work.
By Submitting
- You confirm that you own the rights to the music you submit.
- Impact! Records does not claim ownership of your song.
- We may use selected tracks for promotional material for the relevant compilation/Impact! Records.
- If your track is selected, we will ask for permission to reproduce it on physical and/or digital releases under the compilation title.
The Impact! Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Unless otherwise specified, any profits from releases are used to support the label’s mission and future projects.
Payment
- Submissions for Here Comes Trouble (Vol. 1) are unpaid unless otherwise stated.
- If a project includes payment or royalties, this will be clearly communicated before you sign any agreement.
- Selected artists may be offered promotional merchandise such as: copies of physical media (cassette tapes, CDs, etc), stickers, shirts, free entry for certain Impact! Foundation events, etc. This is not in lieu of payment or compensation, and is subject to availability, and is not guaranteed.
Review Process
- All submissions are reviewed by the Impact! Records team.
- If selected, you will be invited to complete a more detailed form and sign an artist agreement.
- If not selected, you will receive a brief response letting you know it was not a fit for this release.
If Your Track Isn’t Selected
- Not being selected does not mean your work is bad, and it does not prevent you from submitting to future Impact! Records projects.
- Each release has its own theme, limits, and curatorial needs. If your track is not selected, we’ll let you know by email when possible, and we may still reach out about future opportunities.
Selected Tracks
- If your track is selected, you will be contacted using the method you provided in your submission.
Selected tracks must do the following in order to finalize their inclusion:
- Complete the holistic submission form (artist info, credits, links, etc).
- Confirm rights and permissions for the release.
- Provide final audio files (WAV preferred).
- Share lyrics (if applicable) for distribution and time‑syncing.
- Submit promotional materials (artist photo, artwork, or press images if available).
- Sign the Impact! Records artist agreement.
